Topic : AUGUST + SEPTEMBER

REDFISH - The reds are tailing on the flats on the lower tides and taking topwater plugs and mirrodens. As the tide rises they are moving into the bushes and can be easily caught with live baits and cut ladyfish.

TARPON - The tarpon action in the harbor as been very good early in the day and we are catching lots of smaller fish (15 to 30s) on the late outgoing tides fishing the outside rims of the local canel systems. Pinfish and smaller ladyfish for the big guys and X-Raps for the smaller ones.

SNOOK - Snook fishing has been great all year and many, many of us can't wait for Sept. 1st to get here so we can put a couple of filets in the frying pan.
The beachs and all the docks along the innercoastal are holding lots of fish and live baits can't be beat. The early bite along the mangrove shorelines are always worth a look, topwater produces well and the fish tend to be a bit larger.

SHARKS - All I can say is there are lots of them and there willing to eat just about anything at any time.

It get very HOT in August and September but belive me the fishing is much HOTTER.

Tight lines,
Capt. Mike
